Road Rabbits
I always thought life was a little different out in Ottawa County. An experience I had a few months ago seems to confirm my suspicions.
While driving a back road into Holland, Michigan, we came across these two bike riding bunnies. It was no special occasion. No carnival. No parade. No block party. Just two crazy people riding bikes in big fuzzy costumes on a 90 degree day.

And yes, this is the first and most likely last time the words Paris Hilton will be seen on Siler's Path unless Siler finally admits his addiction to The Simple Life, and my simple life I mean the Paris Hilton / Nichole Richie show not a life of simplicity, farming and frugality.
Those bunnies are't crazy they just know how to enjoy themselves. You're right life in ottawa county is differnt, better! Don't you dare judge those bunnies... You think you're better because you have some gay website... well you're not, sorry. You are just mad because you are not one of those bunnies.

Well, I was gonna delete that previous comment because it initially struck me as rude. But then again, apparently my post was misinterpreted as maligning Ottawa County... enough that someone needed affix a bigoted adjective to his or her description of the blog. Hmmm.
Was I judging? Or just making an observation? I suppose the word "crazy" could have been taken as a dig... In reality, it was the highpoint of my day to see those two rabbits riding bikes, and it's just that kind of thing that makes a community unique, a community great.
Too bad there's bitterness too.
